We moved to the Cambridge Science Park in the 1980s and have supported many local organisations and initiatives since then.
Our STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Maths) Ambassador scheme is our biggest commitment to the local community, amounting to a financial investment of over £40,000 each year. The scheme aims to support teachers by bringing STEM subjects to life for students between 4 and 19 years old, showing them how they relate to the real world of work. You can read more about our scheme here.
We have provided financial support to a number of healthcare charities active in the Cambridge area, including the Teenage Cancer Trust and Wallace Cancer Care. In 2011, we worked with our suppliers and other generous local companies to host a fundraising dinner, which raised £32,000 for Wallace Cancer Care.
We support teams across the company to undertake alternative team building activities that involve donating their time and skills to local groups. Our departments have been involved in a variety of activities in recent years, including painting and decorating, gardening and environmental management.
