Cambridge UK: 6 September – Napp is delighted to announce the launch of NappAcademy.co.uk, a new online resource that curates quality educational materials for healthcare professionals.
The new website provides a wealth of non-promotional educational content including free to access continuing professional development (CPD) modules and open-access academic publications, designed to support healthcare professionals in delivering the best possible care for their patients. The public website includes useful information on the management of both asthma and diabetes, with the aim of assisting people managing these long-term conditions to lead healthier, happier lives.
Designed to complement Napp Academy’s ongoing educational meetings and academic initiatives, nappacademy.co.uk recognises the changing learning habits and time-constraints of healthcare professionals, providing content that can fit in with their lifestyle. All of the material on the website is strictly non-promotional (unrelated to the marketing of pharmaceutical products) and aimed to solely aid clinical practice. This includes content independently developed or reviewed by leading groups in the fields of asthma and diabetes, such as contributions from Practice Nurse and TREND-UK.
The Napp Academy is part of a long-standing commitment from Napp to deliver best-practice and partner with the NHS to advance patient care. Commenting at the launch of the website, Tammy Ward, Medical Education Manager stated, “The ability to take a day off to attend a training session isn’t always a luxury available to healthcare professionals. We know NHS staff are committed to delivering best practice and NappAcademy.co.uk is our way of providing free access to current and credible content.”
Launched on Monday 2 September, Napp Academy will continue to build a resource base for healthcare professionals throughout 2019 and 2020.
